As life has taken me on a different journey my ideas on this blog have taken a temporary back seat. One thing I have learned is to never bite off more than you can chew!
You see, in my previous blog post, I mentioned that I would get this site back on track as in posting more regularly. Yet the last time I posted here was back in January! You cannot expect for your visitors to be engaged if you don’t engage yourself.
I am sure you know how it is in your own life when things get in the way. You have a plan, and then that plan suddenly gets into put on a back seat and starts to stagnate.
Actually I should stay idea. As we talk about having a plan, however, when people say that (myself included) it is usually an idea they have in their heads. But that idea is never put down onto paper on how they would implement it and manage their time.
Plan Your Blogging Business
One of the reasons of neglecting this site is when I have had time to sit down at the computer – for extending period of time, I have been working on my other niche sites.
However, it is a good idea to plan ahead. One of the things I have learned is that you should try and focus on one project at a time and not jump from one to another.
You must become totally at One or immerse in the niche that you are in, be it making videos or writing content.
If you are like me and want to work on different niche sites. Here is my advice – DON’T! At least not if you are a beginner.
You will spread yourself too thin…
You will find that you are jumping from one subject to another and not able to focus correctly.
I recommend that you just keep to one niche and work on making that chosen niche really good.
Fail To Plan, Plan To Fail
I have mentioned this before and you may have heard it in the philosophy of the business world. Unless you sit down and make a plan and also manage your time, then your project is going no where.
If you are just starting out then its best to just focus on one project website just now and make that as good as possible. As you get more advanced you can then start looking at other projects.
To manage your time for more than one project, simply assign each day your tasks that you want to do for that particular niche.
For example, if you have three niche websites you are working on, then Monday will be working on the first niche which would be broken down into different items of what you intend to do for that niche. This could be a new blog post, building a new opt-in for your list, and creating new Youtube content.
On Tuesday repeat the process for the second niche and work on the third on Wednesday.
Blooming In June…
June is the month of all the flowers and trees coming out in full bloom including the Ash trees that fully bloom later on. I guess I feel like an Ash tree as my ambitions are starting to blossom later on in the year. Unlike other trees where the buds start to burst into leaves and new growth appear earlier.
So my Ash Tree Blogging is now starting to blossom and get more established. What caused this to take action?
I chose to get my house in order and manage my time more efficiently. This means setting a plan and sticking to it.
In the end it all comes down to getting focused and being more disciplined.
You have to ask yourself, how serious are you in building your dreams? If the answer has a high passion then you need to start taking action.
One one of my other blog sites, it has started to take off since I have been taking regular action in writing new content that my followers enjoy and are interested in.
I can see that with their comments they have submitted.
Keeping Focused
I think judging from my experiences, the most important golden rule is not to do too many projects at once. Initially focus on one subject area and become really knowledgeable and good at it.
